Cusco extension
Your trip starts with an international flight, either from Guayaquil or Quito and onto Cusco - after a quick stop in Lima. Once there, explore the colonial old town and its features as the former capital of the Incas. The sacred valley is dotted with Inca ruins you can visit, and a train ride will take you to the Machu Picchu site.
Alternatively, you can hike for four days through Inca trails and end your excursion with a breathtaking sunrise above the ruins of Machu Picchu.
North of Peru:

Climb Alpamyo (5947 meters high), often claimed to be “the most beautiful mountain in the world” in a seven-day expedition.
As an option, you can climb the more accessible and less technically-demanding summits of Pisco (5.760 meters), Vallunaraju (5.686 meters) or Ishinca (5.530 meters).
