Ecuador offers some of the finest lines in different grades.  The rock is volcanic and tends to offer lots of small holds and crags.

There are walls near Quito, Baños, Riobamba and Cuenca with easy access and pre-established routes.

Cojitambo, Cuenca – The 150-metre-high Cojitambo rock face was one of the first climbing areas in Ecuador. El Acantilado de San Juan, Riobamba  – It is one of the best sport climbing areas in Ecuador, with a wide variety of routes of all styles and difficulties. The valley basin lies at an altitude of over 4700m.
